Social Value & Community Impact Award
We are looking for an organisation or individual that has implemented, completed or committed to a ground-breaking social impact scheme, project or initiative that has had a real and measurable positive social impact on the community.
This category is open to organisations and individuals primarily operating in the life sciences sector.
Net Zero Carbon Impact Award
The winner will have achieved significant and quantifiable CO2 savings. Entrants will be evaluated on both their vision and their approach to delivery, and they must be able to demonstrate milestones reached during the eligibility period. Project entries can relate to new-build or retrofit schemes, small or large.
Sustainability & Environmental Impact Award
This category recognises those who have risen to these challenges with groundbreaking solutions that prioritise environmental stewardship while supporting the needs of cutting-edge science.
Entrants should illustrate how their projects meet ambitious sustainability goals, including measurable reductions in carbon emissions, water conservation, waste minimisation, and enhanced biodiversity.
Technology & Innovation Impact Award
Entrants should also demonstrate how the adoption of new technologies and innovative strategies has improved operational performance, supported scientific discovery, or set new sustainability standards for excellence in the sector.

This award is intended to celebrate those who have gone above and beyond in their field. Whether through influential investments, sustainable design practices or outstanding project delivery, they have had a profound effect in creating environments that enable the next wave of scientific discoveries and medical breakthroughs.
This category is open to entries and/or nominations and may also include views from our judging panel.
Innovation
Innovative Workspace Design
Entries should emphasise the important of creating workspaces that reflect the unique needs of life science and research occupiers and are conducive to high-performance research whilst fostering a healthy, creative and collaborative environment for all occupants.
To qualify, the design should be relevant to projects completed within the past 2 years.
Innovative Lab Space Solutions
Occupiers in life sciences and research come in all shapes and sizes, from fast-growing start-ups, scale-ups and spin-outs to more mature organisations looking for additional workspace or research capacity.
This award recognises innovation in the provision of lab space that meets and identifiable need within the market. This might include fully or partially fitted labs, flexible combinations of wet-labs and office space, workspaces that encourage cross-pollination of ideas, or facilities that pool expensive equipment across multiple organisations. Or even an entirely new workspace concept.
Entries should address both the practical and innovative needs of life science researchers, while promoting efficiency, and sustainability.
This category is open to developers and building owners, architects, designers, research institutions, life science companies, and advisers.
To qualify, the solution should have been brought to market within the past 2 years.

This category celebrates the adoption of cutting-edge construction methods and materials that push the boundaries of what is possible. From modular construction to sustainable practices, the entries must demonstrate innovation that delivers safe, adaptable and efficient facilities.

This category recognises outstanding new building projects that demonstrate exceptional design, innovation, and efficient delivery in the life sciences sector. These project awards are for property and construction professional teams who deserve recognition for their high standard of work, adherence to budget and client satisfaction.
To qualify, projects must have reached practical completion, been let or occupied for the first time within the last 2 years. The entry should have one main proposer but please also provide details of other relevant companies involved (as a minimum, the entry should contain details of the developer, architect, engineering consultant and principal contractor). Larger projects in particular will be expected to reflect the size of the team involved.
Each application should be accompanied by three different photographs of the completed project and may be supported by up to three other photographs of the project under construction.
Best Retrofit & Reuse Building
To qualify, projects must have started on site or reached practical completion within the last 2 years.
