Antara is responsible for the execution of Oxford’s UK Asset Management strategy. Antara has 18 years of real estate experience having started her career as a development manager across sectors. In her 11 years at Oxford, Antara started in development, delivering projects across the UK, Paris and Berlin and building out and leading the development team. Antara then oversaw the European residential strategy at Oxford before shifting her focus to life sciences and now offices.

Antara holds a BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from The University of Oxford and is a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) and NED for the Hyde Group.

Ariel Levy is a Co-Founder of Gen Two Real Estate, a family-run and purpose-led real estate developer and investor, specialising in the creation of well designed, fit for purpose life science laboratories and workspaces in Cambridge.

Over the course of his career, he has been responsible for sourcing and leading acquisitions and disposals of property in the UK and in Israel, arranging over £75m of development and investment financing, arranging and managing highly complex construction contracts and leading end-to-end delivery of development and asset management projects. Ariel read Land Economy at St John’s College, University of Cambridge and is a keen theatre-goer.

Caroline is a mechanical engineer by background and brings a wealth of over 20 years of experience of working with early-stage technology companies to accelerate their innovations into the marketplace and a strong track record in developing enterprise support programmes and incubators, creating innovation ecosystems.

At the University of Surrey, she is the Surrey Innovation District Director, focusing on supporting the business community to innovate and grow by connecting the student and research knowledge and facilities of the university and enabling an innovation ecosystem that solves global challenges for a better future. Her portfolio includes the Surrey Research Park, Sector Programmes, SETsquared Surrey incubator and S100 investment club. She is also a Director of the board of UKSPA (Science Park Association).

Clare Hebbes is Director of Development for Oxford University Development (OUD), a joint venture between Oxford University and Legal & General delivering a mix of uses from commercial science and innovation buildings to student accommodation.

Clare has worked on a number of large mixed use regeneration schemes in both the public and private sector over the past 25 years. Key roles include working for the LLDC at the Olympic Park and 12 years spent working for Argent on King’s Cross.

She has also worked on schemes in Europe having led the Public Realm and Infrastructure team at Lendlease Europe for almost 5 years.

Dan is a Sustainable Design Director at Savills, with a wealth of experience in delivering net-zero carbon buildings and masterplans. He is a Chartered Engineer with twenty years’ experience in low carbon, sustainable design, climate science and related national and local environmental policy. His approach to life sciences design and retrofit encompasses not only environmental sustainability, but also social and economic elements, reflecting the need to engage communities and occupiers in truly effective sustainable design.

Daniel is a RIBA-affiliated professional with over 20 years’ experience across all phases of development. He specialises in value creation through design, planning, engineering, financing and construction, and has contributed to the profession as a tutor at the University of East London, an advisor to RIBA Client Services, and a mentor to emerging practices.

Daniel currently leads the development team for the London Cancer Hub, delivering a major new life sciences district focused on accelerating cancer research and treatment. The project brings together world-class laboratories, R&D, commercial space, amenities and accommodation to attract global talent.

Darren began his career in heavy industry, working in power stations and large-scale industries, before transitioning to building services in 2000. He worked at the National Institute for Medical Research (MRC) in maintenance and as a Technical Manager, where he managed significant infrastructure and lab upgrades, including a new CL4 facility in 2007. In 2013, Darren joined the Francis Crick Institute, where he oversees a team of nine on various projects related to fire safety and facilities management. He recently completed a new research facility called Skylab, enhancing lab space and capacity.

Dave is a high calibre professional with an impressive career spanning almost 40 years in the life Sciences, 30 of which working in big pharma. He has guided a number of high profile projects through product development and technical transfer into commercial manufacturing and successful market launch.

Since leaving pharma he has worked in inward investment and today utilises and grows his network for the benefit of a number of organisations, including being the Industry Advisor, Life and Health Sciences for the UK Innovation Corridor.

Galvin leads Gleeds Life Sciences sector globally. Professionally qualified as a chartered quantity surveyor, Galvin also holds an MSc in construction procurement management. He has serviced many high-profile clients and collaborated with industry leading design consultants on internationally recognised projects that link the commercial, workplace, academia, technology, healthcare and pharmaceutical sub-sectors to support the growth of life science communities worldwide.

Galvin is a co-founder of Constructing Science, a founding Board Director of I2SL UK Chapter Ltd and also sits on the ULI European Life Sciences Product Council. He regularly releases thought leadership publications together with speaking at industry conferences and participating in sector focused round table debates.

Gavin Winbanks is the UK Innovation Corridor’s senior advisor. He founded White Hawk Green, a strategic advisory firm in 2022, having co-founded DBT’s Office for Investment for No.10 Downing Street in 2020. From 2016 Gavin was the Senior Civil Servant for DBT’s Capital Investment team attracting international investment into UK real estate and infrastructure projects. Prior to joining HMG, Gavin led Macquarie Group’s External Relations EMEA prior to joining HMG. He was previously a member of the Urban Land Institute’s UK Executive Committee.

Jack is a Director at Platform with over 15 years’ experience delivering research and development, residential, commercial, and healthcare projects across London, the UK regions and Paris. His portfolio includes the Cleveland Clinic's Oncology Centre and Outpatient facility, Thayer Street & Marylebone Lane, Silver Fin, and Macintosh House.

Before joining Platform, Jack worked at Mace on 5 Broadgate (the UBS headquarters) and Three Quays (a riverside residential development). He began his career as a site engineer at Balfour Beatty. Jack serves on the board of the Get It Right Initiative (GIRI) and mentors students at UCL’s Department of Civil, Environmental & Geomatic Engineering.

James is Asset Management Director for Imperial’s 23-acre White City development, delivering circa 3.8m sq ft of mixed-use commercial and academic development. James is tasked with ensuring the optimum balance and leasing of future commercial uses, ranging from R&D, labs and office through to retail, hospitality, and student accommodation. James is a chartered surveyor with over 20 years asset management experience across a range of sectors including roles at both British Land and AXA Real Estate.

As Head of Development, Jitesh is responsible for the development and construction of all new buildings within The Oxford Science Park. Over the past four years he has been responsible for the development of c. 700,000 sqft of new life science space. Jitesh is currently focusing on developing a masterplan that will see state of the art future flexible space generated for the Park over the next 10 to 15 years.

John is responsible for managing Innovate UK’s portfolio of capital investments across the UK in the science and technology sector. This includes investments in automotive, aerospace, energy, life sciences, manufacturing and materials, and defence.

He has over 30 years’ experience of property development, working in both the public and private sector, including commercial offices and retail schemes, leisure and sports projects, and infrastructure, and is a Fellow of the RICS.

Oliver s’Jacob is an international private equity real estate lawyer whose practice focuses on complex transactions in the real estate sector in across Europe. His expertise includes joint ventures, fund formation, asset management, development transactions, and strategic M&A deals involving real estate assets or real estate-intensive businesses. He has extensive experience in the life sciences, healthcare and medical real estate sectors, among others. Oliver represents a range of clients including some of the world’s largest private equity real estate firms as well as life science specialist developers and operators.

Peter is the Director of Real Estate Development Partnerships for King’s College London and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS FT, leading a redevelopment programme in partnership with commercial developers and investors aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of space and addressing the climate emergency.

He was previously Director of Social Infrastructure for John Laing, a leading international investor which delivered more than 60 healthcare and life science projects through Public-Private Partnerships.

He has worked on the delivery of public infrastructure since 1989 through project financing, PPP and real estate development including over £2bn of healthcare and life science facilities.

Richard is a senior Estates professional with 25 years leadership in R&D, scientific, highly technical, and regulated development and built environments. Richard holds responsibility for the safe, legal and compliant running of all UK R&D infrastructure and leads the Engineering Team responsible for overseeing engineering compliance and infrastructure lifecycle asset management.

Richard also owns responsibility for the development and execution of the UK R&D estate Masterplan. Prior roles and responsibilities include Head of Estates for the BBSRC, providing direction and strategic oversight to a complex and diverse estate covering approximately 2,000 hectares at locations across the UK. Richard brings a passion to realising the full potential of science and research infrastructure to deliver leading transformational outcomes.

Richard is a Partner at Buro Happold leads their UK Science & Technology portfolio. His experience covers the design of a broad spectrum of facilities including numerous speculative commercial laboratory developments and end-user facilities.

Richard is currently overseeing the design of Europe’s largest multi-let speculative life sciences facility in Canary Wharf, as well as designing bespoke end-user laboratory facilities advising clients on decarbonising their science estates.

Richard aims to deliver outstanding buildings with sustainability at their core, which meet the needs of the users whilst building in the flexibility which is critical to institutions working in changing scientific environments.

Ross heads the Life Sciences sector, managing a multidisciplinary team through feasibility, design development and delivery. With over a decade of specialist experience, he has delivered major life sciences masterplans across key growth regions, particularly Cambridge and Oxford, and plays a key role in building client relationships within the Science and technology sectors. His recent work includes Phase 2 of the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Cambridge Science Park, and Peterhouse Technology Park. Ross is passionate about repurposing existing buildings and leads on sustainability, ensuring projects align with net zero carbon ambitions and balance against flexible and adaptive design solutions as the future of lab space evolves.

I lead the creation of innovation-led districts that attract global tenants, unlock institutional capital, and deliver long-term value. With 20+ years across Europe, UK, Middle East, and Africa, I’ve directed €10bn+ regeneration projects.

A planning consultant who has recently secured planning permission for a new Science and Technology Park based around a 5G integrated renewable energy system that will provide state of the art business space and laboratories for business and start ups involved in all forms of emerging green technology.

Tes Adamou is Chief Executive of EEDN. He holds Masters degree’s in Civil and Environmental Engineering and in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution. He’s a Member of the ICE and Chartered Project Manager with RICS and has led complex projects from R&D campuses and GMP facilities to higher education and commercial developments. Tes focuses on risk optimised delivery, communication and stakeholder engagement to drive outcomes. Passionate about sustainable, tech enabled cities and net zero, he was a visiting lecturer at Imperial College London in Project Management and Construction Law.

Tim leads the science business area, across the UKIMEA region for ARUP. He leads on strategy and business development, maintains relationships with clients and manages a portfolio of projects.

He has been involved in science buildings from his first project over 30 years ago, working on the design and construction of a facility to produce injectable vaccines. As well as other manufacturing projects, Tim has designed many research and development laboratories for a range of science users.

Tim thrives in solving client’s challenges to provide robust, energy efficient and sustainable design solutions, applying his knowledge of construction, commissioning and maintenance.

Victoria Collett joined Thomas White Oxford, the development company of St John’s College, as Development Director in April 2022 to deliver Oxford North, the £700 million new global innovation district. Victoria joined from Legal & General Capital where she headed development for its Suburban Build to Rent business, building-up a portfolio of projects with its sister companies and local authority partners.
